NAFF (Northland Amateur Film Festival) is a free-to-enter filmmakers’ festival designed to support and celebrate creative talent in Te Tai Tokerau. Open to all skill levels, the festival includes a competitive element where short films are judged by a panel of industry professionals, with prizes awarded across age categories.
Beyond the competition, NAFF also offers hands-on mentorship and practical workshops—giving filmmakers, especially young and emerging creators, opportunities to develop their skills, connect with others, and gain insight from experienced professionals. Our goal is to make filmmaking accessible, fun, and community-driven.
