Alofau

Alofau is a singer, songwriter, and storyteller based in Whangārei, Aotearoa. With roots in Aotearoa, Sāmoa, and Fiji, their music is rich with cultural influence, emotional depth, and an unmistakable sense of identity. Blending soulful vocals with raw, introspective songwriting, Alofau is quickly becoming a powerful new voice in the next wave of Pasifika artists.

In 2024, Alofau was named a Top 20 finalist in Smokefree Tangata Beats, standing out for their originality and heartfelt performance. They were also recognised as a Play It Strange songwriting finalist, showcasing their lyrical strength and ability to craft songs that resonate across generations.

Their talent has earned them national recognition, including selection for the New Zealand Secondary Students' Choir (NZSSC) 2025–26, a prestigious vocal ensemble known for championing Aotearoa’s most gifted young singers.

Alofau’s music bridges tradition and contemporary sound, drawing on their diverse heritage to tell honest, emotionally resonant stories. Whether on stage or in the studio, they continue to build a sound that is uniquely their own, deeply rooted, proudly local, and universally moving.
